What is the Strategy?

The Strategy for Community Mental Health is an Edmonton community-created blueprint for a more accessible, inclusive, and preventative mental health system. It centers lived and living experience while strengthening the role of community alongside traditional healthcare, recognizing that mental health is shaped by social, cultural, and economic factors. By fostering collaboration across sectors and investing in community-based supports, it aims to build a more connected, responsive system that meets people where they are. Ultimately, the strategy works toward a future where everyone has equitable access to the supports they need to thrive.

We all have a role to play in building this future—learn more, get involved, and be part of the change.
